I took Hwy 146 south out of O'Kean and it became Lawrence County Road 603. That road dead-ended into Lawrence County Road 604, at which juncture I turned right, headed west. After a short distance of traveling westward, I turned right again, headed north, on Lawrence County Road 602. That took me past the home of John Fender, on whose farmland the cemetery is located. The only way to get to the cemetery is to drive into John's driveway, then around the back of his house and down a path to the cemetery. When I visited the cemetery, it was in the middle of a soybean field, south of a rice field. It is kept mowed, but the path/trail from John's house to the cemetery could have been better traversed with a truck instead of my car.
